Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance Grants Joshua Miller
Joshua Miller (Department of Decision Sciences) has been awarded one of the eight 2011 grants for research projects provided by the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (EIEF). The project Accountability in Actor-Responder Relationships sees Miller as the only researcher involved. The grants have been assigned to highly innovative projects, able to advance the understanding of economic behaviour, systems or policies and with the potential to yield at least one paper publishable in a top academic journal. The length of the project is one year and the fund €10,000.
Miller will spend the grant mainly in behavioural experiments that will test a game theoretic model which highlights how the perceived accountability of an actor affects other people reaction to his actions.
EIEF is a new research institute, funded by the Bank of Italy. The Institute builds on the tradition of its predecessor, the Ente Luigi Einaudi, which has fostered economic research in Italy for the past fifty years.
